City Insulation were appointed to undertake the thermal insulation at the new 44 million older people mental health development at the existing Llandough Hospital for Cardiff and the Vale NHS Trust.
This facility was delivered on a congested site adjacent to a live operational hospital and necessitated a high degree of co-ordination to ensure existing hospital services were not hindered.
The building composed of four wards, extensive rehabilitation facilities, accommodation for a diverse range of therapy, a day hospital and outpatients with ventilation and water services.
A total of 4000m2 of insulation was applied to ductwork within voids and plantrooms

Over 17,000m of pipework was insulated using GRM Beta+ phenolic foam insulation.
