City Insulation were appointed to undertake the Thermal & Acoustic Insulation within a
number of buildings associated with the Eastern Goods Yard project.

The project consisted of the complete refurbishment of a listed Granary building which has been
transformed into office accommodataion, refurbishment of the Eastern Transit Shed and the
construction of a new building finished as a shell and core for future fit out by teh University of Arts,
London.

A total of 15,000m of insulation was applied to ductwork within voids and plantrooms.

Over 20,000m of pipework was insulated using Kingspan Phenolic foam.

Trace heating system was also supplied and fitted as part of the contract to all external Chilled water,
Hot & Cold water to prevent freezing.

6,000m of self regulating trace heating was installed and tested.
